Windows 10 Computer Running Slow?
A few months ago I finally broke down and upgraded from Windows 7 Professional to Windows 10. The upgrade went smoothly, but speed issues now seem to be creeping up. I started with some quick analysis using task manager. The Performance tab shown my C; drive was at 100% utilization. This will definitely cause your PC to slow down and in most cases stop altogether.
Fixing the C drive 100% utilization issue:
First of all, check the drive space used. If it's over 50%, you may start having problems. I'm no Microsoft Systems Engineer, but in the UNIX systems I have worked on, keeping plenty of open drive space is always the best practice. Why? Because systems use disk caching judiciously and when space gets tight, things can slow down.
